Collection at Nettos
On Saturday the 10th of July the Rotary Club of Birtley members gave their time to a charity fund raising excercise collecting money from the customers at the Netto Supermarket in Birtley.
The generosity of the local folk made the effort well worth while and the many people who stopped to chat for a few minutes proved once again that the people of the North East are so very friendly. The staff at Nettos gave us their support and and with their co-operation we managed to collect the sum of £110.39p The President passes on her Best Wishes and Thanks to the management and staff for allowing the collection to be held and our gratitude extends also to all those who contributed by parting with their money. The fact that the day was not only entertaining but as warm as the welcome we received from everyone was a bonus to us all.
