The Presidents Night for the year 2011 took place at the Nissan Sports Centre with President Maureen Maltby and her husband Jack Hosting the occasion.
The event attracted 109 guests sitting at round tables holding 8 to 10 diners from a variety of Rotary Clubs in the district, the visiting Presidents listed brought along a good contingent of their members with their friends which all helped to make the evening a great success. During the Presidential Greetings Maureen took the opportunity of surprising one of the Club Members by presenting him with a "Paul Harris Fellowship" Award on behalf of the entire Rotary Club of Birtley.
